WOODLAND PARK, CO (October 15, 2004) - Thom’s Thum announced that it has recently added oval shaped inserts to its bowling ball thumb hole insert systems. Initially launched less than a year ago, Thom’s Thum round two-part patented customized thumb grip device has enhanced the sport of bowling around the globe and contributed a performance element to bowling that is beneficial to bowlers at every skill level, from touring professionals to beginners.

Designed by a bowler for bowlers, the most compelling thing about Thom’s Thum is its novel two-part design: an outer sleeve that is permanently glued into the bowling ball and a removable, customized insert thumb grip that can be moved from ball to ball easily with a flathead screwdriver. The inserts are currently manufactured in 20 different sizes and two shapes, round and oval, which give a bowler the opportunity to choose a size that best fits his or her thumb and add sizes slightly smaller or larger to follow the tendency of their thumb to shrink or swell.
